Adenanthera pavonina, commonly known as red sandalwood, coral wood, or saga tree, is a small to medium-sized deciduous tree native to Southeast Asia and the Indian subcontinent. It is renowned for its striking ornamental value, with clusters of bright red seeds encased in vibrant, translucent pods that resemble peas. These seeds, known as "red lucky seeds" or "precious seeds," are often used in jewelry, crafts, and traditional rituals due to their auspicious significance in many cultures. The tree itself features compound leaves composed of numerous small leaflets and bears fragrant, pale orange flowers in racemes. Adenanthera pavonina is also valued for its timber, which is durable and reddish-brown in color, used in furniture-making, carving, and musical instruments.  It thrives in tropical and subtropical climates, preferring well-drained soil and full sun. Adenanthera pavonina holds cultural, aesthetic, and practical significance, making it a versatile and cherished species in its native range and beyond.  Zones 10-11

Germination

To germinate Adenanthera pavonina seeds, start by scarifying the hard seed coat to facilitate water absorption and promote germination. This can be done by carefully nicking the seed coat with a knife or rubbing it gently with sandpaper. After scarification, soak the seeds in warm water for 24 hours to further soften the seed coat. Prepare a well-draining potting mix, such as a combination of peat moss and perlite, and fill a container with it. Plant the scarified seeds about 1/2 inch deep in the potting mix, spacing them apart to allow room for growth. Keep the soil consistently moist but not waterlogged by misting or watering lightly whenever the surface begins to dry out. Place the container in a warm, sunny location with temperatures around 70-85°F (21-29°C). Germination typically occurs within 2-4 weeks, but it can vary. Once the seeds have sprouted and developed several sets of true leaves, they can be transplanted into larger pots or directly into the garden, ensuring they receive adequate sunlight and water as they continue to grow.

Functional but not attractive
Color: Black, Color: Black
I purchased this to hide my cats liter boxes as he refuses to use them unless they are on the finished side of our basement which is also my kids play room. This functions as I’d expect. It isn’t great to look at but better than cat boxes. Overall it might make a good backdrop if needed. My only complaint is the hex/allen wrench doesn’t fit in the screws provided. If you don’t have an alternative tool that’s a smaller hex it will be annoying to put together.

Does the job!
Color: Grey, Color: Grey
This is a great screen to separate a space The base could be a bit sturdier, but for the price, it does the job! I recommend having a mallet for ease of assembly.

Good
Color: Grey, Color: Grey
The room divider seems to be a great quality. It is easy to assemble and set up. The stability of it is good. It doesn’t knock over easily. I use it when I have company over to divide a room to give them privacy. I might also use it on my patio to keep the wind And cold air while I sit and enjoy outside.
